Referring to the announcement made by The State Secretariat of Civil Aviation (SSCA) of the Kingdom of Cambodia regarding the relocation of Siem Reap International Airport (REP) to Siem Reap Angkor International Airport (SAI), starting from October 16, 2023, onwards, we would like to provide the details as follows:

1. The new international airport has been officially named "Siem Reap Angkor International Airport (where is located in approx. 52 km from Siem Reap town) " by the Royal Government of Cambodia (RGC) and is scheduled to open for operations from 16 October 2023 onwards.

2. The Siem Reap Angkor International Airport has received the official code from the International Air Transport Association (IATA Code) as SAI and from the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO Code) as VDSA.

3. All commercial flights of air passengers and cargo that are being operated at the current Siem Reap International Airport (REP) will be transferred entirely and one time only to Siem Reap Angkor International Airport from 00:00 AM (Cambodian Time) on 16 October 2023.

Dear our valued passengers,

On 22 December 2022, Cambodia Angkor Air successfully launched its first flight between Siem Reap and Hanoi, Vietnam.

This is according to a press release issued to local news.

The first flight, Flight K6 852, departed from Siem Reap International Airport at 14:30 and landed at Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi on 16:15. The plane carried 68 passengers. The plane then returned to Siem Reap at 17:15.

The airline company confirmed that Cambodian Angkor Air will operate three regular flights per week between Siem Reap and Hanoi, every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.

In addition to flights to Hanoi, there are other flights to other destinations in Vietnam, such as: Ho Chi Minh and Da Nang.

The inaugural flight, K6 668, carrying 113 passengers, departed from Phnom Penh International Airport at 08:25 by Airbus-A320 and landed at Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport at 12:25.

Cambodia Angkor Air will conduct 2 flights per week between Phnom Penh and Guangzhou on every Monday and Thursday Airbus-A320/A321.
